Apple Butter
Bauman's Apple Butter is made in season, in small batches by a Pennsylvania Dutch family. We use a centuries old recipe of clean fresh apples, pure apple cider and sugar. Bauman's Apple Butter is available with Sugar and without Sugar and with or without Sassafras and Spice. Our Apple Butter is thick, dark and rich ! Over five pounds of apples are required to yield one pound of Apple Butter. It is so concentrated no refrigeration or even a lid is needed. In fact, it will keep for years, though the flavor is so good that you'll want to enjoy it as soon as possible. The extra cider used in the "No Sugar Added" variety makes it almost as sweet as the "Sugar Added" style. Either type is great with any meal or an anytime snack ! Thin with hot water if thicker than desired.
